Completed BA Fine Art & MA Research with focus on etching

and traditional studio methods. 

My passion for etching was ignited by the fact that-in its pure form-etching is the closest technique to drawing; it extends of what line drawn can become, yet you can never quite know how your etched line will print out.

It is the element of the unknown, of the unexpected that makes it different from drawing, yet it still connects the two in a very natural and organic sense.

The refinement of line composition and delightful subtleties that can be achieved with

this method-brings out resembling translation of my drawings to

a different yet so close, form of life.

Drawing is the backbone, the foundation to all my artwork; not only as a guide but also as

a vital part of my research and preparation. It is my joy, and one of those parts of my life that fill me with simple happiness - a language, a translation of my deepest inner onto the paper and into the copper plate.

My work is divided into three main subject areas; landscapes, fairy tales/children’s stories and religious /biblical imagery.
Currently, I am working on Seasons series ‘Moments in Time’ which is the fruit of my hiking trips in the deep woodland that my Father used to live in.

Seasons, Autumn and Winter will be completed soon, and will be followed by Spring and Summer series, later-in the year.

However, since mid 2020 and following the most bizarre revelation of how the cogs of our governing bodies function - the fourth branch began to develop and grow; politically and socially inspired artwork that was made fertile by all the unjust and simply illegal actions of our authorities.
